Kids’ Therapy Works is one of the UK's largest Independent paediatric therapy companies. Serving East Anglia and based at Copford, near Colchester in Essex, we have a large clinic and domiciliary caseload, in addition to school contracts. We work closely with other therapists to provide a holistic therapist-led, child-centred service.
At least one year’s paediatric experience is essential for all roles.
PAEDIATRIC PHYSIOTHERAPIST
FULL-TIME BAND 6. FLEXIBLE HOURS, PERMANENT.
BASED IN COPFORD (COLCHESTER) OR BRENTWOOD
We're seeking an experienced HCPC-registered Physiotherapist to join our expanding team. You'll provide comprehensive physiotherapy to children and young people across clinic, home, and school settings, working with a varied caseload including cerebral palsy, developmental delay, acquired brain injury, musculoskeletal conditions, and complex needs.
You'll work as part of our multi-disciplinary team alongside experienced Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and a Speech & Language Therapist, with opportunities to develop specialist skills in areas such as Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI), spider cage therapy, intensive therapy programmes, and CIMT. You'll also contribute to EHCP physiotherapy assessments and reports, supporting children to access the right provision for their needs.
Essential Requirements:
HCPC registration (Physiotherapist)
Band 6 experience in paediatric/children's physiotherapy
Experience managing your own complex caseload with minimal supervision
Experience writing professional reports for education and health settings
Excellent communication skills with children, families, and multi-disciplinary colleagues
Full UK driving licence (due to home visits and school-based work)
Right to work in the UK
Desirable:
Member of APCP (Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists)
Experience with neurological conditions including cerebral palsy
Training or experience in DMI, spider cage therapy, intensive therapy, or CIMT
Experience with EHCP assessments and report writing
Experience supervising junior staff and students
Familiarity with Essex, Suffolk, or East Anglian paediatric services and referral pathways
PAEDIATRIC OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
– FULL-TIME OR TERM-TIME
BAND 6. FULL-TIME OR TERM-TIME – FLEXIBLE HOURS, PERMANENT
BASED IN COPFORD (COLCHESTER) OR BRENTWOOD
We're seeking an experienced HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist to join our expanding team. You'll provide comprehensive occupational therapy to children across clinic, home, and school settings, working with a varied caseload including sensory processing, developmental coordination, fine motor skills, and complex needs.
A key part of this role involves conducting EHCP assessments and writing education reports, supporting children to access the right provision for their learning. This assessment work complements your ongoing clinical caseload, offering the rewarding opportunity to follow children throughout their entire therapy journey.
Essential Requirements:
HCPC registration (Occupational Therapist)
Experience with paediatric/children's occupational therapy
Experience writing professional reports for education settings
Experience working with schools, SENCOs, and education professionals
Full UK driving licence (due to home visits and school-based work)
Right to work in the UK
Desirable:
Band 6 experience or experienced Band 5 ready to progress to Band 6
Knowledge of standardised paediatric assessments (BOHA, Movement ABC, DASH, Sensory Profile 2)
Experience with sensory integration, fine motor development, or developmental coordination disorders
Previous EHCP report writing experience
Familiarity with Essex, Suffolk or Cambridgeshire education/SEND systems
